Wear it alone on a mild morning, then add an outer shell when the wind rises. A long-sleeve shirt is a versatile choice at seasonal transitions without adding excessive bulk.
For fishing, focus on the shoulders and cuffs. It works alone or as a mid-layer when the shoulders stay free through a cast and the cuffs stay clear while you handle fishhooks and snaps.
Wear it alone or as a layer
On a calm day, wear the long-sleeve top alone; add a shell when the wind picks up. For a cold morning, layer a light base, the long-sleeve shirt and a hoodie; remove the outer layer first as the day warms.
Raise your arms with all layers on and twist your body. If the shoulders pull sharply, reduce either the number or weight of the layers. Leave space in your bag for every layer you remove.
Secure the cuffs before handling the rig
A cuff that falls over the back of the hand interferes with fishhook and snap work. Fasten cuffs at the wrist. If you roll the sleeves, secure them so they cannot fall during the task.
Keep your arms covered in direct sun, adjusting the sleeves only briefly for close work. For the backs of your hands, face, and neck that cannot be covered with long sleeves, use other methods such as a hat or sunscreen.
Add no more than two light colours to black long sleeves
A black top gives the outfit a calm foundation, but black headwear and trousers can make the whole look heavy. Pair it with a light gray hat and sand-colored pants to add a spring/autumn lightness.
On days when you want to take advantage of the small logo on your chest, don't increase the number of colors for accessories too much. Even when wearing a life jacket, keep the upper-body details from competing.
Movement check before you leave
- No strong pulling at the shoulders or underarms when you raise your arms
- The cuffs do not fall down to the back of the hand and do not interfere with work.
- You can wear the life jacket correctly with the outer layers in place.
- You can store the clothes you take off when it gets hot.
- A dry replacement base layer is packed

For your safety:Make sure the cuffs do not interfere while handling tackle, check the weather and footing, and wear your life jacket correctly. Be sure to follow the rules for restricted areas and the facility, and plan conservatively for sun and temperature changes.
